She works in a downtown Chinese restaurant, her customers were always regulars and the occasional new ones were always kind passerbys. She was quiet, but in her job she became lively and helpful which always made the people want to return to see her soft genuine smile and hear the small talk of everchanging life. It was a dull evening until the door would suddenly open, the entrance bell clinking to reveal a man with shoulder length colorless hair, his eyes sharp and cutting as he would in return walk in to find his own seat in the back, a briefcase dangling by his side on his stride there once chosen. His shined shoes would click against the wood of the floor as most other customers would stop their eating just to glance at the sudden appearance of such a man. "I've never seen him before..." (Your name) would calmly note, her hands signing off some of the second copy receipts to legitimize it's return back to her behind the counter as a surprised gasp was heard next to her. "T-that's... they haven't came here in quite a while. Why...is there just one? No, I am sure he is here with more..." (Your name's) attention turned to her coworker, the old man fumbling in wiping the counter with the rag as his hand would accidentally brush a little too forward to hit an object. His eyes stood focused to the white haired male sitting calmly at a fairly large table now, the briefcase he brought in settled close to his leg as when (Your name) would then try to acquire more on the matter, the older man next to her would then usher her forward. "You must go, go go go, go take his drink and ask what is it he would like to order." Her eyes would lightly widen as the notepad for orders and a pen was then urged forward to her stomach by the man for her to take as she would then look back once to her erratic acting coworker. "He just looks like a regular busy man... What is his problem?" Start Date: June 7, 2021 End Date:

Stephanie Walker - straight-A student, sweet, pretty, and every parent's dream. Her life is perfectly planned out... until her senior year trip throws her into the chaotic orbit of the school's golden boy. Now her final year in high school isn't looking so simple. "Don't let me catch you, cupcake," his voice boomed from downstairs, and I took off running. I ducked behind a pole, heart racing, trying to calm my nerves. Way to go, Stephanie, my subconscious snarked. His footsteps echoed closer. "Where are you, cupcake?" he called out playfully. Like I'd actually tell you, I thought, holding my breath. Silence. Then, warm fingers snaked around my waist, and I didn't need to turn to know it was him. "Found you," he whispered in my ear, and a shiver zipped down my spine. "How?" I breathed, turning to face him. His smirk told me he knew exactly what he was doing to me. Get it together, fool, I mentally scolded myself. "Want the sugarcoated version or the truth?" he teased. I raised a brow at him. "I could smell you from a mile away," he whispered, tucking a lock of hair behind my ear. Butterflies. So many freaking butterflies. "That was the sugarcoated version," he added with a grin. I blinked, narrowing my eyes. "The pole didn't hide you well. Your cardigan was sticking out," he shrugged. And then came the smirk. "Now, time for my revenge." I barely had time to process before something soft and powdery rained down on me. I wiped my face. Flour. He did not just dump flour on me even if I started it. Mature, much? I thought bitterly. Poker face on. "Real mature," I said, brushing past him with fake annoyance. Time to activate drama mode. "Come on, babe, you can't be mad..." he called after me. This book is everything. You NEED to read this.
