10 years ago the Potters did something they regretted. A secret they took to their graves. They stole someone else's son. The night the child's birth father came for him he was defeated. At the cost of the Potters life.
Their adopted son had no one left. So he went into the foster system. He moved from place to place never finding a stable place to call home. He learned how to survive. How to act so people would keep you around. And if that didn't work then he ran.
Then he got his Hogwarts letter. His whole life changed. He was lying if he didn't hope it was permanent. But he quickly learns that it'd be a little hard. Why wouldn't it be if there was a manipulative old coot after you and an overbearing crowd who want his fame?
But when he meets a certain blond haired boy in Madam Malkins his life takes a turn. He finds family and figures out the true meaning of friends. Well there's one thing he's sure of and that is that he's going to make Dumbledore pay .
