valentine is back, and is how attempting to raise hell so he can see his beloved son, who was sent to heaven after the angel blade stabbed him. while the shadowhunters are on the case, they meet sam and dean winchester: two hunters who are curious about the sudden attack of demons on earth. but, at the same time, nephilim are illegal: in which castiel, their angel friend has killed the supposed last one on earth. now, the two groups must fight together, facing familiar demons and adversaries before they open the gates of hell.
