Sophie moves to a new school over the summer to get away from her abusive parents. She goes to live with her Aunt in Forks, Washington. On her first day of school, she meets Edward Cullen, who doesn't seem to like her very much. She wonders why he decides to be so intolerable to other people, considering his only friends are his siblings. Sophie decides to try and be friendly with this mysterious guy but finds out some very shocking things about him.
