During his time at the Red Room he would meet a Widow named Natasha Romanoff and the two would fall in love, allowing Y/N to break through his brainwashing to show her his true self. But when the Red Room found out about them, Y/N was taken and sacrificed himself allowing Natasha to escape from the Red Room. Years later the Winter Spider was sent on a mission, but he went A.W.O.L as he breaks free from his brainwashing and remembers.
