"Stay back"

She refused to listen though, walking closer to me where I stood in the darkness of the alleyway.

My right shoulder bled heavily but all I could focus on was the stubborn brunette who slowly crept her way into the shadows, not caring at all that I had a blade hidden under my loose white sleeve and a long steel sword sheathed on my back.

"I swear little girl, if you step even closer to me, I will slit your throat with the tip of my dagger in a split second"

"You wouldn't do that"

"Oh?" I raised an eyebrow, a bit amused at her confident answer "And why not?"

"Because, I know you better than that. You wouldn't kill me even if you wanted too"

"Never doubt the things I would do" My eyes narrowed fiercely "Especially since I'm nothing but a stranger to you"

"You are all but a stranger to me" Her hand sneaked inside the hood over my head and around the back of my neck softly, not at all intending to reveal my identity but enough to make me tense just slightly

"Rosabella-"

"You know my name, but I have yet to know yours" She caressed my cheek "Tell me your name"

I sighed, looking away from her bright cobalt eyes "You know I cannot do that"

"Why?

I took her hand off of my face, instead intertwining them together while the other cupped her face gently as I rested my forehead against hers

"Its the only way that you would be safe from me"
