After Willow's mom died, a lot has changed in Willow...
She changed her name to Haley (Hay-lee) and changed her interests on purpose.
Anything that her mom liked, Haley said that she hated. Dresses, flowers, and cute baby animals.

But when her grandfather is selling horses, Haley's dad says she can buy one of them. And of course, she picks Chess, the only horse that she will ride. But when an accident occurs, she ends up with Ash who she refuses to ride and take care of.
