The Man In Black

The story talks about a nomadic Masiha who is known as the man in black, he helps any and all people in need all the while jumping from one city to another and a Detective, who while dealing with personal issues is on a mission to find out about the man in black and uncover the truth about why he does what he does.
In the first quarter of the novel, we get to know a lot about the detective's personal life, his fight against his lousy ex-wife over their son's custody, along the way we are also introduced to 'Twinkle Drops' an addictive drug that is slowly taking over the town like a plague.
As the story progresses the detective eventually finds out about the identity of the man in black and also learns about the reason behind his actions, he decides to help the man in black with his mission and ends up working together with the Man in black, they find out the root of the 'jingle barriers'.
All the while also harbouring certain romantic feelings towards one another which also get addressed and resolved all through the novel.
