In case you are unaware, from roughly 1960 up until the start of this century, China had a one child policy, which meant if a second child was accidentally born, it had to be given to an orphanage, some people went to great lengths to get rid of the babies, including abortion and more often, murder. 

This is a short poem about a girl who was abandoned because her parents were only allowed to have one child, and they wanted a boy. the theme is 'respect' in honour of white ribbon day.

This is dedicated to everyone who has ever been mistreated or faced with abuse.
