So, I watched The Maze Runner: The Death Cure last week - and I am so not okay with that ending! Newt should have survived! So I've taken matters into my own hands and re-wrote the ending. With Newtmas being eventually canon of course! or Where everything's the same except that Brenda, Minho and Gally arrive a minute earlier to save Newt's life and even make it out of the city with the perfect cure made from Thomas' blood. (Hope ya like em) Thomas and the crew finally make it to the real Safe Haven - their paradise, free from the Flare dangers. But dragging Newt there had been a hassle, yet completely worth it. The blonde is stuck in a coma, and Thomas wants nothing more than for him to wake up. He spends nearly all his time there, praying that his Newt would just shucking wake up already. What happens when Thomas needs to actually start helping out? How much had Newt's coma ruined the boy, and how much had Thomas missed? [EDIT 1] My work is currently undergoing some revisions. I wrote this 5 years ago, and needless to say, some of the dialogue, scenes, wording, and overall feel is quite childish. Not all of it, but some of it. I've decided to revisit my original first story and make it better. The story is definitely much more mature now, and I think everyone will enjoy it better now that the tone has changed to fit the melancholy nature of my story. Thanks in advance. Thomas gets a chance at redemption when he is offered a seemingly impossible task: plant an idea in someone's mind.
