Naia is a broke, down on her luck, college dropout with two packets of ramen to her name and a cell phone that should've been thrown away three years ago. One moment she's crying alone over a shitty breakup in the alley and the next she's looking down at her crumpled body on the floor.
Enter Pythios, a Reaper of Souls who just made the biggest mistake of her career. Due to an error, she just reaped her target about....50 years too early. In cases like this, the wayward soul becomes a ghost attached to the Reaper until its placed in a new body.
So what's a dead girl to do except pester her killer to fix her mistake?
And yet, things get even more complicated when the pair seek help from the one man who can provide it: Atropos, the cutter of the thread of life. Atropos' help is sparing and conditional on account of the fact that he finds the situation hilarious. His star Reaper messing up isn't something he can just forget about without taking advantage of it. However, he has his own agenda involving Pythios which neither girl can make sense of. While Pythios wants as little to do with him as possible, Naia is intrigued by (and perhaps a bit infatuated with) the ringleader of the secret world she's been thrust into.
With Naia and Pythios forced to spend their lives together for the foreseeable future, feelings blossom between the two, but where do those feelings fit in? Besides, how do you date a ghost?
