Six was still standing, just barely. Her helmet had malfunctioned, soon to be followed by her battered, worn red-and-steel armor. She knew she wouldn't last long; not with so many Covenant troops groundside; not with her failing shield systems. She stood, exhausted; wounded; but never broken, like every UNSC trooper should. She was determined to make her last stand on the fallen planet, but Earth and all her colonies beg to differ...

Aria Peril, the lead Sergeant of a ragtag group of ODST wisecracks, has been stuck trying to run a division with no second in command and no officer.
