Casiana never thought she would get very far in life. Her dad was emotionally abusive and her mother was emotionally absent. Her life consisted of loneliness and unhealthy coping mechanisms. She never thought she would find someone who loves her since her own family couldn't.
That is, until she almost crashes her car into a hoodie-wearing stranger in the middle of the night. His brooding personality and piercing green eyes captivated her in ways like no other, she was addicted to a stranger like she was addicted to alcohol.
Slowly he became her resolve for her problems, but at what cost?
Hunter Smith was always a mysterious character, but he enjoyed keeping it that way. Surely if anyone ever found out the truths he kept, they would want nothing to do with him. He hated himself more than anyone could ever hate anything, yet there was a kindness that somehow shone through the harsh eyes he had desperately tried so hard to keep cold and filled with nothing. Not many could see it, but she could.
He wanted nothing to do with her. She was arrogant, annoying, and obnoxious, but something about her blunt personality kept him coming back over and over.
He needed someone to finally depend on, but was it all a mistake?
