A Piece of Joy

A little girl yearns to play the violin to escape the bad circumstances her family is in.

There was once a girl who lived in a city famous for its music. The city was centered around a school called The Grand Academy of the Orchestra. In the back of the school was the concert hall where the students practiced and performed every day, and through an iron grille window high up on the wall the sound came filtering through. This day, like many others, found the girl standing on the sidewalk under the window, listening for all she was worth.
