The Dragon Blooded and the Phoenix born are at war. Cadimus Skylaan is a pure blooded Dragon born with a dark secret. While everyone else in his world was born beautiful he was born with a scarred, scaled, hideous face. Taken captive and stripped of the stone which hides his true form Cadimus' life is saved by a half blooded Phoenix by the name of Airne who just happens to be the sister of Arrow- the Phoenix who is destined to destroy Cadimus' kind.

Just a few days after she saves his life Cadimus finds himself in the position to save hers, but it means taking her prisoner and she has no idea that the Dragon prince who has just 'claimed' her as his own also happens to be the wretched young man to whom she showed kindness...
