Hey y'all 🧍‍♂️ this is my first published story so. Please don't bully me.

Uh so ig this is a first girl at Welton type thing?? Maybe a Charlie Dalton love story??

Here's an excerpt 😌

Claire smiled and looked over to Charlie, "Go brush your teeth, we can do the other half of the experiment, now,"
He nodded vaguely before disappearing back into his room.
Claire prepared a Petri dish and swab and Charlie came into her room soon with a pack of cigarettes and a lighter.
"I only smoke one, right?"
"Just one," she replied, sitting on her bed.
Charlie nodded and sat at her desk, lighting up, "You want one?"
"No, thanks,"
He lit a cigarette and took a drag, "Why don't you smoke?"
"I know there's a smoker inside of me somewhere and I don't want to let her out,"
Charlie closed his eyes for a moment, "There's a smoker... there's a smoker inside you?"
"You heard me, Dalton,"
"Okay, but- but that doesn't make sense,"
Claire shrugged, "Sure it does. You can't possibly know everything about someone, Charlie. You don't even know everything about yourself. Everyone is a million little things inside one person,"
He nodded, "Something tells me you're not struggling with Mr. Keating's poetry assignment,"

Anyway I hope you guys enjoy! Also if you know me in real life, you absolutely do not.

When a 14-day dating challenge erupts between skeptical Blossom and her secretly smitten best friend Hunter in the waning days of 1999, their easy friendship is plunged into a maelstrom of teenage angst, unrequited affection, and the terrifying possibility of genuine love. __________________________________________ The year is 1999. Grunge is fading, pop is taking over the airwaves, and the looming Y2K bug casts a faint, paranoid shadow. Blossom, a cynical, introspective teenager with a sharp wit and an even sharper skepticism about the existence of love, finds herself entangled in a bizarre challenge. Her best friend, Hunter - all easy charm and perpetually tousled hair - has proposed a "14-Day Bet Date." He claims it's a social experiment, a way to prove to Blossom that love isn't just a fairy tale. He insists they go on carefully orchestrated dates, engaging in classic romantic tropes - eating out at the local diner, trips to the rollerskating rink, picnics under the stars, the whole shebang. But what Blossom doesn't know is that Hunter's intentions run much deeper than scientific curiosity. He's secretly, desperately in love with her, and this elaborate charade is his clumsy, teenage attempt to finally convince her of it - and hopefully, to convince her to love him back. __________________________________________ ---Book 1 of the Generations series--- ATTENTION! ' Huh, Lija ? What're you doing here ? ' ' Smoking ' Elijah looked at her and nonchalantly said. Isabelle was still smiling a moment ago. But at the mention of smoke, her beautiful smile faded. She took a long breath and exclaimed with grited teeth ' Ah, Lija. ' Elijah didn't even blink. She was still smoking lazily. Isabelle surrendered and didn't try to stop her from smoking. She smiled forcefully and said, pointing at the person beside her ' Here he is. Rhys Brooks, your would be fiance . ' Elijah only muttered ' I see '. ---- ' I can be a good daughter-in-law and also a good life partner. Can be what you want me to be. ' ' Maybe I can be the best of me but can't be the one you wishes me to be. ' ' Can be your wife but not a lover. Can be your life partner, your companion in every phase of life but can't be your mental peace as can't give you the love or the affection you want. Can be your perfect unpaid slave as the way you want me to be. ' ---- ' Have you ever smoked ? ' Elijah asked as she held the cigarette stick between her pale lips. ' I didn't but I can try. ' ' Oh ' Elijah said as she leaned close to the man beside her, connecting the ends of her cigarette to his and lighting the both at the same time. The nicotine spread through both of their cigarettes, hitting their nerves. Rhys took a drag and exhaled. His face flushed from smoking, looking his side to see the girl taking drags of cigarettes, her slender hand hanging on the relling, lips pale. His presence scares me and especially when a glint of mischief sparkled in his eyes. I went to grab Jake's arm to pull him away, I was snatched away from his reach to be put behind his back. He cracked his knuckles," I'm guessing you didn't realize your place just yet." And right before my eyes his fist connected with Jake's face. He turned toward me, my breath hitched in my throat."Your mine, your only mine. Do you understand Hadley?" Before I could stop myself." No, I'm not? I don't even know you." "But I know you." He leaned in and kissed my forehead. ________________ S I N C E. C O M P L E T E D. 4/28/18 Unedited 2023
