"They can be real jerks sometimes, can't they?" she mumbled, then chuckled to herself bitterly- whether at the lingering echoes of the argument or at the fact that she was talking to a practically dead-to-the-world growing specimen in a tub of jelly that wasn't going to make it to even a fraction of maturity. And a part of her still hated that, hated these experiments despite how intriguing and groundbreaking they were, despite how she loved Cassie and despite how exciting the whole thing was. Or rather... it was the beginning stages. Keeping things alive tended to be so... so... fiddly. There was a reason Harper preferred to work with robotics.
At the very least, it wouldn't leave her talking to her projects whenever she's in a gloomy mood. She's not crazy enough to talk to machines just yet.

Merudoxin. Hearing that word should have made everyone grimace at the thought. "Bloody hell!" he exclaimed. "What should we do with her?" the surgeon asked. "We're going to have to get rid of it" he announced simply. I whipped my head towards Arturo. I began getting up, trying to end this tyranny but Arturo held me back and that's when I remembered where we were, who I was carrying inside me. I cried quietly as I watched the woman scream and whimper as she realised the fate of her child. And the fate of herself. The surgeon wheeled her inside a door followed by the Doctor with the baby. "You can't do this to us! Give me my baby!" she sobbed helplessly until she said in a quiet voice, "Let me hold her once". The doors closed before I could see if they fulfilled her last wish. Worker Drones are sentient robots created by a company called JcJenson with the purpose of revolutionizing multiple work fields. Let it be mining, transporting, or other types of services, these drones could (probably) do it. This was great for humans! A nine to five would quickly become a ten to four, while keeping, if not even increasing the pay. Yes, they were abused, but who would complain about it if it's just so goddamn profitable?! No one. No one would willingly go back to their nine to five. Only a small minority would speak out against it, seeing the worker drones as more than just objects to be used. If only everyone knew that humanity's behavior would also become its downfall... And then there is Y/N. A normal human, living in Germany. His strength is "computer stuff", as people call it, by which they mean coding. He also has other specialty's, like being lazy, the ability to have an excuse for (almost) everything, and staying undetected and blending into a crowd to a certain degree. Little does he know his life will quickly change because of a quirky australian girl and a group of silly drones. (Murder Drones is a YouTube series made by Liam Vickers and Glitch productions.
