'"I have room at my place." My mouth moved before my brain could finalise my thoughts. From Rosette's facial expression, it was the last thing she expected me to say. "You can stay there for the night while you recover."

Her face scrunched in disbelief. "Oh, is that right?"

"Yes."

"You're going to let me stay at yours?"

"If it means staying clear from your scooter."

"I can just pay for a ride."

I raise a brow. "You'd trust a complete stranger?"

"You're a stranger."

"I'd like to think we're more than just strangers now."'

Growing up alone meant 20-year-old Luca Herroway only ever knew of Sunset district, the place where the people don't sleep until sunrise. Knowing his neighbourhood inside and out means Luca is able to protect it against most criminal activities, including rebels from Endhill district - a gang of delinquents whose terror has shadowed over Luca's nightmares since he was little.

But when he crosses paths with wide-eye newcomer Rosette Gen-Penzi, Luca realises there's more than just fears to face. Ending up in hands of his enemies, Rosette's appearance fuels the rocky feud further, placing Luca in a predicament he swore never to get involved in again.
