Varian is a shy but intelligent boy with a sad past. When he tries to leave his past behind he accidentally ends up as a stowaway on a pirate ship. When he is discovered, instead of being thrown overboard the Captain keeps him on as the Cabin boy. The Captain learns that Varian is part of an ancient pirate bloodline and that he can read the map they have.
What starts out as a quest for treasure, may yet turn into one of friendship, and new beginnings.
