Due to his job, murdering, and his asexuality causing him to stray away from women wanting him for his looks, he never was able to find a mate. Just some friends. But, he wanted someone to be a part of him, to share his feelings, and love him. After conjuring an extremely difficult voodoo spell that took him almost an entire year, all he could do was wait and see exactly what kind of company he would come to have.
