The Aether Portal (Dream SMP x OC)

To the ones residing in the Overworld, the Aether realm is merely a legend, a simple bedtime story told to children. That's what Ranger would have believed, if it weren't for the golden halo above her head and the white feathery wings sprouting from her back. In order to reunite with her family after her father's untimely death, Ranger's Aether Angel grandmother points her to the highest peak of Mount Blizzard, the northernmost mountain range in the Overworld. Inside the mountain lies the only existing portal to the Aether. Even when she tries her hardest not to get sidetracked, Ranger somehow gets caught up in a major conflict between warring nations. Will she reach the Aether portal? Whose side will she choose? Will she even choose a side? Who is the mysterious, ever-so-elusive assassin known only as Dream? And why does he hide behind a simple smiling mask? Read on to find out.
