A Fifth Daughter [Book 1: The Dragon Rider] by JJHays
30 parts Complete
A MODERN MEDIEVAL FANTASY #3 in Fantasy |Book 1 of the Fifth Daughter Trilogy| When darkness arises and the world of Fantasy is in danger of being destroyed, the Dragon Riders are the first to show up. Fire and fang, sword and shaft, meet the enemy head on and the wars don't end until the enemy is disbanded. It's not a pretty business, but it must be done to secure the lives of every creature within Fantasy. There are two Rider schools - over thousands of Riders and dragons - and Smoke Green is one of them, no matter how much she dislikes the idea and the heights. Her fate has been chosen, even if she doesn't want it. With a vacant father, a mother who has too many secrets, four older sisters, an older brother, and a three minute older, annoying twin brother, Smoke isn't expected to be much more than a hometown girl of Folklore; who will get a boring desk job and never leave home. But then the Sage of the Burrows proclaims her a Dragon Rider and a Fifth Daughter and Smoke's life changes stories - literally. Moving from Folklore to Legend, Smoke is taught that fears can be conquered and villains do have a hunger for power. She also learns she might just have the power this villain is after. She makes friends: Something she didn't know she could do, she finds her dragon: Someone she didn't know even existed, and she learns her past: Something she didn't know was so complicated. But when rebellions begin to break out across the globe; the world of Fantasy is once again put in danger and the Dragon Riders might not be able to save their home this time around. Especially, when the enemy is from one of their own royal families; once thought incinerated, and his accomplice might just be Smoke's long thought dead father. In this first book of the Fifth Daughter Trilogy, J.J. wants you to forget everything you think you know of mythology and open your mind to a new kind of fantasy. Destiny (Volume I: Shur'tugalar) by Nikkisha16
87 parts Complete
Eragon was once an orphan who lived on a farm, didn't know who his father was, and had never stepped foot outside of Palancar Valley. But when a blue stone appeared before him in the Spine, hatching a baby dragon, everything changed. Now, he is known as Eragon Shadeslayer, son of Brom and one of the last remaining Riders. He and his dragon, Saphira Bjartskular, have journeyed across the Empire: facing countless foes, winning many battles, and beating impossible odds. They know they are the ONLY ones who can free Alagaësia from the tyrannical King Galbatorix's rule - or are they? When a mysterious girl named Niaomi arrives at the Varden, she brings with her new hope, but also new dangers. For though she and her allies have great powers, Galbatorix will stop at nothing to capture them. And when the third dragon egg hatches, will the newcomers' history hold the key to freedom for the enslaved "Shur'tugalar"? In the first volume of an epic tale, the Riders will be forced to confront spies, thwart assassination attempts, and uncover their pasts. But even though the Varden's skill grows, the coming battle will require all of their strength. For the black king still possesses an unmatched power that even the gods would be hard-pressed to defeat. *see A/N for the full book's trailer* [COMPLETED: readable though in editing] - Chapter Status: last edited 12/3/15 • Edited: #1-#7 • In Progress: - • Unedited: #8-#10 "Destiny (Volume II: Indlvarn)" has been posted and is currently in progress. ~~~~~ Posted: Aug. 12, 2012 ~ All characters, settings, and events referenced from the Inheritance Cycle in "Destiny" and all other related works are owned by Christopher Paolini. 20 parts Complete Mature

The second installation of my Age of the Dragon Series. If you haven't read Return of the Riders yet, start there! Fallyn continues her journey to bring down Galbatorix but finds herself questioning her motivations and self before long. In order to put things back in perspective, she makes her way back to the place of her birth, Thedas, and becomes embroiled in its conflicts. Oaths bind her future, but also restore her inner balance. This is an Eragon/Dragon Age crossover with OCs Kudos to my sister for Fallyn's face 2.0 :)
