Before moving to NYC Ava was in a physically and mentally abusive relationship with a young man named Mason. Ava's family encouraged her to take her scholarship to Julliard and move away, leaving her parents and two siblings behind. Ava then met Charlotte (Charlie for short) and they instantly became best friends. Charlie was boy crazy for a band by the name of 5 seconds of summer and Ava surprised Charlie with tickets for her 19th birthday. After Charlie and Ava say goodbye after preparing for the day of the concert Ava bumps into someone whom you wouldn't believe.
