Before you read the summary I just want to let you know that I'm making VERY BIG changes to the book. I started it a long time ago, I came back to it and am doing some major editing.

Mia Moretti is a 17 year old who holds the world on her shoulders. With a dark past and a dim present she keeps to herself. The girl who has had Mia eyes on her is oblivious to the danger of the world around her. But said girl is the least of her worries.
When her mother is arrested and stepfather in the run she is reunited with her father. The one parent she never wanted to leave, and her brother who were her biggest protectors.
They laugh at the dangers that no one sees. Ricardo Moretti could be considered the devil himself, but the only one he lets his walls down for is his family. But 10 years ago when a threat was against his daughter he had no choice but to let his wife take her away.
No they are reunited, Mia is not who they remember. She has been shown the horrors of the world that no one sees. She lives the life that they tried so hard to keep her away from. But regardless they still will do anything to protect her.
But the girl she protects is who she will die for when He decides to show his face again.
