One fateful night changed Davina's life forever. At the age of 16 she witnessed her family murdered by Miami's most powerful drug lord, Angelo Diego Otero, who paid little notice when his bullet didn't kill her.
She's left alone in the world traumatized and afraid. It's not long before Angelo's true intentions are revealed- He wants Davina. She escaped his grasp one time and she knows he won't give up. Davina, although relentless, is tired and lost. Sucked into a dark twisted life has taken a toll on her mental health and inability to trust anyone.The next 5 years of her life are spent on the run in constant fear, never settling in one place for more than a few months.
One day as she's walking down the street with her hood up, she's knocked off her feet by a fast talking, dark eyed stranger. All of a sudden her life takes another wicked turn when he starts pursuing her and she doesn't know how to turn him down- and to be quite honest, she doesn't want to. She knows better though; she can barely protect herself let alone another person. She can't risk hurting this kind man, but she can't help but wonder whether he could be her salvation.
