"Memories aren't forever, but words are."
Society is what you expected it would be today. You can't trust anyone, simply because someone could be an Underdog. Their names represent exactly who there are: heroes undercover. They've been never thanked or appreciated of, partially because they're been almost completely forgotten.
But why be afraid of Underdogs? Oh, right. Because Middlings never gave a chance for them to explain their true intentions. In fear, they abuse their privilege and began slaying Underdogs one by one. The lack of Underdogs has resulted in a massacre of Middlings.
They all think Underdogs have them wrapped around their fingers. They all think this is all a trick-- an entertaining game.
But is it?
900 years has past since then. A new, heartbreaking story begins with a small
group of young adventurers and one extraordinary girl.
I was never good at writing summaries, and I'm still not. Bear with me.

I don't name them, but one of the character will be struggling a lot. It may not be suitable for everybody. Other adult matters are briefly included, but nothing explicit or intense. The Darkness in the Light
For over a hundred years, humanity has lived in fear of the monsters that roam the streets, lurking in the drains below. Women and their daughters hide, protected in their homes, while men take their sons through the world, teaching them the responsibilities of having a family to feed and dangers to avoid. No one leaves the home unless it's essential, and most of the world prefers it that way. Until one girl spends her days perched on her window seat, looking down at the world below and dreaming of a different life. Her eyes are always drawn to the dark, ominous drains in the street, the ones that often blink open to swallow and person whole. One day, that person is her little brother, snatched right in front of her from their arms of their father and gone forever. When a person is snatched, they never return, and life goes on without them. But she can't accept that. Breaking all the rules, all the things she's ever known, she braves the world outside her little townhouse and goes on a mission into the darkness to find her brother. Only, it's soon her that becomes the one lost to the drains. To survive she must rediscover her world, and in the process, rediscover herself. She will be reunited with old friends, gain new ones, find out deeper secrets about her past than she ever could have imagined, and learn that the world is even more corrupt than she always thought. *** This story contains sexist ideology, mention of cheating, some gruesome scenes, and a whole lot of monsters and darkness. It isn't overly mature... there isn't much explicit language or sexual scenes, but there is a bit of violence, so just keep that in mind... and despite all that negativity, ENJOY!Terminé
