Twenty-five years after the Battle of Hogwarts, Rose Weasley is a sixth year Ravenclaw attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Rose is dating Scorpius Malfoy, the son of her father's old enemy from school. She and Scorpius know that their parents would be furious if they found out, which is why the two have been dating in secret for the past year and a half. No one knows about them, and they intend to keep it that way.

So what happens when Rose's best friend comes between her and Scorpius, she begins receiving mysterious letters from a former Death Eater looking for the Resurrection Stone, and their secret comes out?
