I rolled my eyes. Was he serious? Without thinking I accidentally let my tongue slip and replied back.

"Like you're any better?"

"I am better, unlike you I am the best at what I do, putita (little bitch)."

He must have struck a nerve with me because before it was registering what I was doing I pulled my dagger out from under my dress and shot it across the table at his head.

He knew what to say to tick me off and it worked. He smiled at me before dodging my dagger at the last minute. The dagger stuck into the chair backing behind him; in one swift motion he stood up, pulled the dagger out, and threw it back at me.
