"There were days he felt that he wouldn't last the night, his father's beatings becoming worse as they drew closer to Guymon and Tenmik leaving. Kiziak eyed the horizon to the west and watched the sun sink to the top of the tallest tower as if It were an orange ember atop a torch. Soon his father would pull the gallon cask of blood mead from beneath the seat of the wagon and began drinking home self into a black mood."

Is Kiziak's fate sealed? Would he survive the night?

"I'm killing myself." You announced, feeling at least one person's eyes on you. "You say that every morning," Shalnark hoisted himself up onto the counter beside you. Legs dangling over the edge, swaying back and forth slowly. "I mean it today," You huffed, opening the freezer door. Looking at the sad, barren area. There might as well have been cobwebs, "I'm not coming back. Getting ran over." "Yeah, sure," Phinks scoffed, ruffling your hair, much to your dismay. "You don't have the courage to step into traffic." "Watch me." "Watch you chicken out at the last second, Doll?" "Watch me punch you in the face, bastard." - Feitan, Shalnark, and Phinks get bored waiting for Chrollo to call them to a mission. So, they decided to answer a "Roommates Wanted" ad. Wanting to see how long it'd take for either their new roommate to realize they're wanted terrorists, or until one of them gets bored and kills them. Unexpectedly this fun idea on how to spend a week or two turns out to be a lot longer than just a few weeks. - This is a Gender Neutral xReader story. For inclusivity I will be using They/them pronouns for the reader. Feel free to imagine these as your pronouns. Following the end of George's childhood and into a new, aggravating world that has no loose ends to tie. He and his friends will have to survive past the thinnest of ice when it comes to the Redwoods chasing them, the newfound creatures of the world, and the looming threat of their own mistakes. With or without their blood within their skin, the bones in their bodies, their brains in their skulls. They'll have to hope and grasp onto each other to survive the next sunrise. Join me once more on the continuation of George's life story. Let us find out if he will survive under these increasingly brutal times. Or perhaps he will crack and fall under the surfacing pressure that surrounds his being like a snake. Maybe the Redwoods will take him prisoner. Maybe his own mind will take him for a wild ride. Maybe the creatures of the day and night will take him instead. But he knows, deep within his soul he knows, that they won't take him alive.
