The night you shared was never meant to be more than a fleeting connection. But even as you both drifted apart, the memory of that night and the feelings you couldn't shake lingered in the corners of your hearts. Ten years passed before fate brought you back together, only for it to feel like a second first time-awkward, unsure, but somehow familiar. The thought of him had never truly left your mind, and neither had his thoughts of you.
And yet, after all the time apart, the hurt still echoed.
"She waited ten years for you, Seungcheol hyung. She stayed, knowing the risks, even considered us. She forgave you after everything-after losing her womb, after all the pain-and you still think you're the victim?! When did you stop loving and start obsessing?"
The words hit like a slap, raw and unforgiving.
"I need a break," you choked out, your voice trembling. "I can't do this anymore. Not like this. Not after everything."
Seungcheol's heart clenched as the weight of your words sank in. But all he could do was scream into the universe.
"Why us? Why does it always have to be us? What did we do to deserve this kind of test? Why does every piece of happiness we find have to be ripped away? Why can't we just be happy for once?!"
