she meets ponyboy one day when she saves him from some socs (by save she beat them up) and hands him a pocket knife and says " take this and use it I don't wanna keep saving your ass kid, go home and be safe , if you need anything go the the as you call it haunted house im the crazy lady who bought it , be safe " then walked away leaving a lightly bruised ponyboy to walk home and tell the story of the badass girl who gave him a pocket knife to the gang.
