**She was not where she was sitting, I leaned forward again earnestly straining my eyeballs as my brain dissected being from being. I could suddenly perceive rose petals mixed in cardamon, a tint of burnt ash. I felt someone tap my shoulder, I turn sharply, there she was, her deep blue eyes staring straight into mine, our faces almost too close for comfort, everything seemed to stop for a second, everywhere went silent, and then it all came crashing down in an instant, reflexively I jerked back, almost like I had seen a ghost, my mouth opened but no words seemed to come from it, she smiled, ran her hands through my hair and said, "You're broken, we've got to fix you".
