    My name is Violet Gaunt. I was born on the 17th March 1927. My father is called Morfin Gaunt but I don't know him well - I don't know exactly who my mother is but all I know is that she's a pure blood witch. You see, when I was 3 years old I was abandoned by my parents and sent to Wool's Orphanage, which was where my cousin was living at the time. His name is Tom Marvolo Riddle. We're about the same age. This is the story about how me and Tom grew up - when neither of us knew what he would become in later years.
