In Greek Mythology, Circe was an enchantress that transformed Odysseus's crew into pigs. She was the daughter of Helios and the sea nymph, Perse. Circe commanded magic, living on her island paradise, Aeaea. It was for that reason that Kassiopeia chose the name as an alias.
And she wasn't exactly the textbook superhero like Superman or Wonder Woman.
As Flash's second sidekick, she'd met others just like her. She fought thieves and burglars, and the occasional supervillain. But when she moved to Gotham, she had to fight psychopaths, and the occasional thief or burglar.
It's almost laughable how much Kassiopeia's life changed when she got powers.

Her emotions hit, and she temporarily slowed down time in order for her to make a five mile walk in under three minutes. Call it, un-super speed if you'd like. She was confused. She had no clue how that happened, but she had to find how. Now, she was extremely smart. She did research. Then she saw many reports on the news about this man called "The Streak". Loreli Fischer had it all. A loving mom and dad, a sister and a nephew who were her best friends, and everything seemed perfect. Though, nothing in Gotham was ever perfect. Loreli possessed the power to manipulate the elements. Her mother was an airbender, her father and sister were fire breathers, and her nephew was born normal. Her parents were close friends with Bruce Wayne, which made her close to the Robins he had. Dick Grayson, whom her sister was in love with, and Jason Todd.
