Giyuu Tomioka is the young prince of The Kingdom of Akazomi. He was an adventurous and kind young boy who loved escaping the confinement of the palace walls and exploring the kingdom with his two best friends, Sabito and Makomo. 

One day, he meets a beautiful young girl who's name is Shinobu, where he helps find her way home. However, his kindness was later on repaid by the sudden death of his mother...and the loss of his sight. 

Forced to live the rest of his life in darkness, Giyuu couldn't help but be forever pessimistic about seeing the light again, losing all hope.

That is, until that very same girl he showed kindness to all those years ago was reintroduced to him...
