For a girl that's never set foot in Seattle before, Lanny's surely well known around the town. Lanny's mother sends her off to spend the rest of summer with her Aunt and older brother --whom she barely knows, and is exposed to the dominating scene of Seattle, thanks to her, hip and locally famous, brother. Lanny makes history and bonding relationships with the locals, as well as learning ancient-like history which helps paint the picture of her faceless father. As the summer winds down, Lanny comes to realize a few things-- even facing the fear as to why she was even sent to Washington for the summer in the first place . While Seattle is the place to be for great, live Grunge --and beautiful people, its the place to be for people who like rain.
