Lightning McQueen - The name known across the country. You can't forget his name and he wouldn't let you if you tried. The debonair and mercilessly handsome up-and-coming rookie racer, Lightning, is aiming for the stars and not backing down. While some might say his pride and flamboyance are a hindrance to his racing he only sees them as strengths, meant to propel him to the top. But after an astonishing three-way tie at the Piston Cup race, he has to push himself to prove his worth. But things don't go according to plan. A crazy night out with his friends, an old rickety town forgotten by Hell itself, and a whole bunch of legally binding repairs stops this racer in his tracks. He must find a way to get free and back into training. He has a race to get to and a spotlight to catch - he simply WILL NOT let himself be forgotten...Not like this 'almost dust' town on Highway 66. *** This story is 'human-bent' all characters have been turned human and in order to make that possible a lot of things have been altered and some scenes changed to accommodate that. Lightning McQueen and Braedey Martin have to work hard and find friendship and even love in the simple locals of Radiator Springs, changing its values during their stay in the small town, and becoming a true winner, and telling us that there's more to the race than just the finish line. A/N: this is to pay tribute to the great Paul Newman (the voice of Doc Hudson), who passed away sadly. The 'Cars' characters belong to Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios. I just finished reading a FF about Lightning McQueen and Francesco Bernoulli. And it got under my skin pretty quickly. After searching for more fics, I decided to make one of my own! If you don't like the concept, please leave. But if you want to correct some of my mistakes (I am learning English), feel free to do so. Creating the second movie with humans will be a difficult challenge but this is connected with the first book, instead of McQueen and the reader getting closer like in the first one, this story is about the reader's relationship with her father. I'm not telling you who he is, you'll have to figure out that yourself until the chapter comes out. Which I hope won't be long. I've been taking notes on the key details in the movies that are helpful and have done research on things that might have the movie if they were humans, the words in the story maybe different but it's still the same thing.
