My Darling Fox

For the longest time, people made fun of her for not having a soulmate mark. It was supposed to be a blessing, but it was far from the truth. Her soulmate was among the stars, and far out of the reach of her mother's adoptive parents. Her mother only told her adoptive parents a lie, the truth hidden under her clothes, while her mother lay in a grave. At least Lilith has her father's parents and her mother's biological parents, for now at least. She looks up at night at the star-filled sky above wondering if he thought of her while she thought of him?

She knows his tragic story, and what is to become of him if not done so already. In Arabish or Galactic Basic, the letters CC followed by the numbers 1010 rested over her heart with the name 'Fox'. Fate has a funny way of making the impossible, possible for one young woman.
