It's exactly the same, except Newt survives and it follows the story of the kids who made it to the safe haven. So, I watched The Maze Runner: The Death Cure last week - and I am so not okay with that ending! Newt should have survived! So I've taken matters into my own hands and re-wrote the ending. With Newtmas being eventually canon of course! or Where everything's the same except that Brenda, Minho and Gally arrive a minute earlier to save Newt's life and even make it out of the city with the perfect cure made from Thomas' blood. They try to escape the grasp of WICKED as they make their way through the Scorch in search of the Right Arm.
