Scarlet is a girl who grew up doing everything for herself. With no parents, no siblings and no friends, Scarlet had to learn how to be tough. That was no problem with her powers. But we will get into that later.
What happens when two brothers move in next door? Will they get along or fight constantly? Will they find out about Scarlets awful past and dangerous secret or will she push them away too?

Scarlet just wants to be left alone and finish high school as she moved away from her home. People at her old school saw her as odd and she only had two best friends that were left back in London when she moved. She is forced into a new school being the new girl and hating the people in the school. Everybody seemed to enjoy drama and teasing the new girl relentlessly but she knows how to stand up for herself and she can be more dangerous than they think. Some trauma from home is found and in danger of being told, things that she doesn't really want people to know. You'd think getting through high school would be easy. A certain bad boy who happens to be her neighbor takes a keen interest in her. She's never liked anyone and has had no real interest in any relationship, only her studies that kept her busy. He's smart but acts like he's the greatest and he tries to impress her but she can hardly be impressed by things she can do. Distractions around every corner with the bad boy and the popular mean girl group that doesn't approve of the bad boys attention on her.Concluida

Anyway, this is about two people. I can almost hear you rolling your eyes. Another cliché teen fiction with a bad boy and a good girl? Nope. This is about superheroes. I can still hear you rolling your eyes. Superheroes. Like in comic books? Like people with super speed and mutant powers? Yes. But this isn't about the fight they have. More about the lives they lead without the masks. But just keep in mind, people who live in the world have all different skin colours. Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. To be frank, Scarlett is a street fighter. Her opponents aren't only people though, but life itself. She is in a continuous battle with life, fighting for answers and to find who she is, more of what she is. Every night a reoccurring dream haunts her, but the second she lifts her head from that cushioned pillow, any memory of the nightmare is swept away except for those glowing scarlet eyes she can't seem to forget. Scarlett wants to sweep some parts of her life under the rug, including this dream, so when she turns 18 she takes her life into her own hands, ready for semi-independence from her dad Alex. Meet Jake Vance, a boy who has never had to lift his finger for anything or anyone. His hands are as soft as a baby's bum, with no callous present. He is the complete opposite of Scarlett, spoiled, not a hard worker, popular(envied by guys, loved by girls), and overall just a brat. To think he will one day be Alpha of a pack is quite worrisome with the way things look. But things always change. Nothing ever stays the same, and that's a promise.
