Two days: a weekend, a getaway, 2/5 of the work week, the amount of time it took for my life to be drastically different and all because...well, I'll get to that.
Two Days. Two days ago, I was an average American teenage girl. Now, I'm fucked up and have no way of getting out of this trap. And to add onto this awful situation? I hate the only person I have interacted with, and believe me if it had been during any other instance, we might have been more than enemies.

DUALITY - the sequel to IT'S YOU! [Mature] *Please note: There will be spoilers for the first book from below onwards... You don't necessarily need to have read and finished IT'S YOU to understand DUALITY, but it will be more rewarding if you do. If you want a refresher, there's an index at the end of that book, summarising each chapter and the subsequent one shots too. Despite all the challenges, Harry and Eloise have had their busiest couple of years to date. With new movies, tours, an album, a beauty brand, writing, promotion, and - not least - parenthood, they've had a lot to contend with throughout the pandemic. Working together on one truly iconic project was supposed to help bring them closer, not risk bringing them to breaking point. Trying to balance their professional and personal lives is already hard enough when it's all played out in the public eye, but it proves harder still when the storyline seems to start blurring between the two. Pressure, competition, jealousy, coercion, manipulation, deception, guilt... With such high stakes, it's hard to know who to trust, especially when things turn out to be not quite what they seem. In the eye of the storm, it can be hard to keep a grasp on what's real, and what really matters, after all. Please note: This is intended as an exercise in character development and descriptive writing. This year was supposed to be simple: survive the rest of high school, save up as much money as possible, move back to California and become roommates with Stacey. That was the plan, it was all set from the moment she landed in New York. But of course, the universe had to come and rearrange everything. * * * There I sat in the cabin of a small fly-bridge boat as Josh sailed us to who knows where. Gripping the cushion of my seat I glanced from my phone to different spots around me. It had been more than half an hour since I had sent the text to the group chat. No one had called me or texted me and I could feel my hopes being crushed. Here I thought this small group of people actually cared about me. I should have known better. Minutes later Josh emerged and leaned against the door frame. He smiled at me and I felt something flip inside my rib cage. My mind couldn't figure out why Josh's presence affected my heart beat. When he appeared my hands became sweaty and my stomach fluttered. "Ready?" He asked in a velvet tone. Crossing my arms over my chest I raised an eyebrow at him. But did he? • Harry He worked at the boat rental, where you and your parents rented a boat for your vacation. It was truly love at first sight, and only if you knew that after these 2 months you'd ever see him again. You look at photos, old bills from cafes you two went too and a shirt, it was Harry's, you took it and smelled it, the fabric still smelt like him, his perfume. You close your eyes for a brief moment reminiscing. After setting it down you grab a very specific cassette and decide to rewatch it, it's a bunch of photos and videos of Harry that you took of him back that summer, then every memory seems to come flooding back into your mind. It feels like yesterday when he touched for the last time, before your parents had to seperate to from the longest hug you've ever experienced. It feels like yesterday when his luscious lips where softly kissing yours. It feels like yesterday when you were walking on the beach, and in hand, watching the sunset. A tear rolled down your cheek when suddenly the door swings open and your 4 year old son stands in the room. He sits down next to you. "What's the movie mummy?", he asks. "Nothing special just some old stuff that reminds your mum of her youth, sweetheart"' you answer while another tear rolls down your cheeks. He whips it off your face and whispers, "It's ok to cry, mummy. Everyone cries, even I do," giving you a big smile.
