Clary Fray is a normal teenager living a normal life. She has her mom, her stepdad, and her three best friends; Simon, Isabelle and Alec.
When she hears that the celebrity she despises most is attending her high school, she can't help but get angry. Alec on the other hand, is ecstatic,Izzy doesn't really care, and Simon is scared he will lose the girl he's had a crush on for years.
Jace Herondale is the worlds most loved celebrity. He decides to take a break from the fans falling at his feet and the flashing lights to become a "normal teen". He notices the one girl who hates his guts, and takes a sudden interest.
While Clary is constantly bothered by the golden boy, she finds herself falling for the gorgeous star.
