You were just a child who grew up to fast and wanted to experience what it would be like once again, but that's impossible. At least you still got your Wii with your first game on it, Super Paper Mario.

It's an alternate Universe where things used to be a lot darker, so it's by no means canon to either game. The universe is heavily based on Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares 2, however, though some names are the same, none of those characters from that game are in this.
