Daily gimmicks of liars and cheaters in the club Hailey Walters works has her rethinking relationships and love, instead substituting them with alcohol, drugs, and mind-numbing sex. When her work life plummets into dangerous territory, Hailey packs her lonely life into a bag and takes off for the other side of the country overnight. Hurt in the past by a spiteful ex-fiancée, Ryan O'Connor stays out of the lies lining the dating pool and even further from the snakes of relationships. Casual nights are forgettable, and forgettable is preferred. Or so he used to think. The first honest encounter Ryan has with a woman turns out to be the one he can't forget, but in all the honesty she preaches and swears by, Hailey has secrets of her own. Secrets that don't want to stay silent or hidden no matter how hard she tries. How does the saying go? All is fair in lust and lies.

Isn't it ironic? The three middle letters of 'believe' are L-I-E *** Addyson "Addy" Alway has done horrible things in her life. Lying about sexual relationships with a teacher, burning down a convenient store, destroying a church's nativity set, and so much more her town hasn't forgiven her for. Everyone has their own opinion on her, and not the good kind. Over the summer before senior year, Addy decides to change and turns her life around to become a better person. No more lying. No more destroying. No more pain. Addy is free of that. Or is she? The unimaginable happens to Addy at her brother's Back-To-School party. All she wants to do is forget That Night and move on, but she can't. When she speaks up, no one believes her and her town crowns her a liar. How do you make someone believe a liar? *** ⚠️Trigger Warnings: This story contains sensitive topics such as sexual assault, mentions of suicide, eating disorders, and abuse⚠️ ❗️Language❗️ Started: (unknown date) 2017 Finished: July 15th, 2022 (third re-write) Word Count: 92,000+
