Draft preview of a story i need to currently write.
It is very different from my usual works.
Trigger warning: It involves the trauma suffered by a divorced woman from mental abuse during her marriage.
Although not directly depicted, it is talked about.
Simon, a 46 year old writer, moves into a new neighbourhood. When he untangles Tabitha, the 7 year old neighbour girl, he suspects all is not well with her and Vivianne, her 38 year old mother and highschool teacher.
When he becomes more aquinted with them over time, he learns from Vivianne about her abusive relationship and her loss of trust in men.
Despite this, they build a friendship over their mutual desire to no longer become romantically involved with someone.
When Vivianne's ex-husband keeps showing up and is twice chased away by Simon, he proposes to live together to take care of each other without any romantic strings attached and Vivianne reluctantly accepts because she no longer wants to see her daughter live in fear.

After that first day of school they start to notice that she's different then she looks to be but will she show her true self or stay the shy naive girl people think she is. What happens when she finally has enough of being the shy, depressed, guilt filled, daydreamer girl that she changed herself into. What happens when she has to transfer to the same school as her best friend Jacob who's in the same friend group as the schools "bad" boy who's also dating the worst bully she's ever had. Like a sunflower will she blossom to her full beauty or will she stay in her shell read to find out. Possible abuse, smut, drugs, self harm, sexual assault, smoking, cursing, dirty but not nude pictures and more. I tried to put ⚠️ emoji on any chapter containing self harm, smut, abuse, sexual assault, etc. Would not recommend unless 18+ years old and not sensitive to sensitive content. Entangled Strings Of Fate
I grew up believing love was unbreakable. My parents adored each other with a devotion so deep it felt eternal-something even death couldn't touch. My childhood was sheltered, innocent, untouched by the darker truths of the world. I was wrong. Love doesn't always end gently. Sometimes it rots. Sometimes it turns obsessive, destructive-and leaves innocent people to suffer the consequences. I didn't choose to be caught in the aftermath of someone else's obsession, yet I pay the price every day. The answers I need remain buried beneath silence, control, and lies. I don't know if I can ever reclaim what was taken from me. I don't know who I can trust. And I don't know if the people I love are victims... or villains. But even after everything I've lost, I still cling to one fragile hope- That I'll find my way back to my family. That I'll survive long enough to uncover the truth. And that freedom is still possible.
