"Mr. Malfoy-"

"Call me Draco. Please-say it."

His tone was still even, unwavering. Piercing blue eyes bored down at her as he casually
sipped on his black-cherry colored wine, a certain glint flickering into his hues as he slowly
licked his lips.

"Go on. Say it."

With a thick swallow, she caved in.
"Draco."

The sound of her sweet, airy voice uttering his name was far more of a gift than the
heavens raining down onto him.

Setting the wine cup down stiffly, he realized the way she
spoke his name was far more promising to get him drunk than the alcohol.

After all, she was his drug.

The only problem was that he was her boyfriend's father...

Breathing out, Hermione took his hand and said, "Valet in lucem." Draco wrinkled his nose, looking up at her confused. "Was that an insult?" Hermione rolled her eyes. "No Draco, it's an old saying in Latin." "Well I don't speak Latin 'Mione." She huffed. "I said, Light Prevails Malfoy, because it always does." Hermione thought he might try to argue with her again, make her red in the face with anger but Draco paused when he opened his mouth. She waited in anticipation. His features seemed to soften a little as he stared at the ground. When his eyes came back up to meet her, she thought she might get lost in his gaze. "Light prevails." Leaning in slowly, Draco kissed her on the lips and Hermionie pulled him in. -x- Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger are far from friends, they're barely even acquaintances and if the two of them had their way, they would not be spending their final year at Hogwarts as Head Boy and Head Girl together. But as fate would have it, or rather McGonagoll, they are the top picks to keep the students at Hogwarts in check and out of harms way. Though the two of them might have something to say about that. Regardless, both Draco and Hermione accept their positions and try to move on from their old rivalry, close old wounds, and try to form some sort of friendship. But sometimes the past can't stay buried and old grudges die hard and despite not having to defeat a Dark Lord, their seventh year at Hogwarts may prove to be the hardest one yet. 18+ READERS ONLY! Virulence contains sexual, graphic, and gruesome scenes! I will try to put warnings before chapters I feel may be triggering for some, but this is your blanket warning! Please read at your own discretion. This combines the HP magical world with my own imagination. It doesn't follow the books or movies and my depiction of the characters may slightly differ from their original portrayal. The story is currently still in progress, so no blurb - I'm more of a pantster - meaning I do not outline and tend to write on the fly which makes writing a blurb prior to publishing everything a bit difficult. But with that being said, here's a little preview: "D, no." I protest, covering my foot with my hands. "Don't even think about it." The slender tip of his wand points toward my foot, but with me blocking his target, he can't say the charm yet. His head stays tilted down, but he glares at me through bits of blonde. "Move your hands." "No." I grip my foot tighter, gritting my teeth to fight back the yelp vibrating my vocal cords. "You're not getting expelled over this. My mom can heal it when I get home." He rolls his eyes. "Stop being so dramatic and let me heal you." "No." "Yes." He draws out the S with a hard hiss. "Move your hands or I'll make you move them." My eyes narrow. "Is that a threat?" "Did it sound like a bloody compliment?" He retorts, lifting a brow in challenge. Oh, no he didn't. I flick my wrist, feeling the smooth, firm length of my wand click into my palm like an old friend and I nearly sigh. I ease forward, my gaze unwavering and voice stern and low. "I'd love to see you try, Malfoy." The words sound much smoother, much more provocative than I intend and those icy eyes flash as his head slowly lifts to mine. He grins, nothing short of menacing, and all I can think is "oh shit."
