The Amulet Quest
Yin and Yang. Light cannot exist without Darkness, and Darkness cannot exist without Light. However one such World defies these terms. This is the world that the Council Of Elementals resided. Aided those fated to be heroes by gifting them a power from birth. However this land is engulfed with shadows by a villainous foe, intent on ruining the peace and prosperity ruling over the land. The Elementals powers suddenly are not their own to give anymore, and sometimes it is gifted to evil. This cycle took root. A villain would rise, aided by the power of an Elemental, and then a hero gifted with the power of an elemental would also rise to face them. Set through trials to reach the Cave Of The Elements, to deem weither they are ready for the task. However along this millennia of repeated villains and heroes new tradition have been set in place for the Elementals. Traditions that restrain even addressing each other by name. And when Derik the Destroyer arises, conquering kingdoms and towns alike, they don't know if it can be stopped. Will the new chosen hero be enough? Or will fate gather together a band of worthy heroes and defy the Elementals 'sacred' tradition, to banish the shadows from their land? In the world of Leben, villages are scattered across. The scorching blue star that lights the lands and brings day can burn you if you're out for too long. But the people have adapted to the heat. In most villages, there are such things called Protectors, which each village has from one to two of them, depending on the size. But what an old prophecy stated, was that the world would come to an end. Two boys were gifted unspeakable power at young ages, and when they learned of each other, they swore to protect the world, until one allowed the power to take the best of him. He lost in battle between his best friend and went out into hiding to work on his mischievous plans. As for the other boy, after defeating his best friend, his power turned him mad. The Mad Man was who he was known as, and he became a legend to all, only seeked by those in search of wise words. Now, these adolescent boys, meet. It was by coincidence, not by fate itself. The kids knew each other in another time. All they seeked was for new lives to live, for their old lives bored them, or were destroyed. Macha just wanted her mother dead. Was that really too much to ask? Tossed out on her ass into the Outerlands as a little girl for being a bastard. Yea that came with some trauma and long lasting issues but she worked through all that. Really. Sure, she may like blood and war a little more that was normal but come on! She's an Unseelie Fae, she was practically born this way. After a long exciting journey she organized *cough* conquered *cough* the Outerlands into a functioning society. Into the Kingdom of the Banished Fae with her ruling as their rightful Queen and everything was great for a time. Truly. Until her birthmother decided that she didn't deserve to be Queen of anything which ended with them battling it out and Macha getting tossed into a maximum security prison. Bummer. Now having escaped prison, Macha is dealing with the fact that very old feelings for a certain asshat are springing back up like a bad joke and that she must rebuild her entire kingdom. But she has to do it right this time and that means telling her people who she really is if she wants them to follow her into a war against her mother. A woman who refuses to let Macha be and plans to wipe her entire existence from fae history. Again, Macha really really just wanted this bitch dead but it was turning out to be a lot harder than she thought. *Cover is made by me but I have no rights to the picture itself. In Kara's village at the age if fifteen your wings are freed from the chains that have bound them. Once you can fly you must cross the White Desert, a land covered almost entirely in ice and snow, and the inhabitants are not all friendly. Gods and goddesses of myth live with in the constraints if the dimension beside creatures of flight and fancy; beside them hide those of dreams, be they day dreams or the darkest nightmare. Kara and her freinds now must find out how to survive in a land where little is what it seems and a villain can be made of a hero or a hero made of a villian. Atop all this sits Fate, pulling strings to make her puppets jump and keep things intresting, because she has always loved a good show. Until the show started to change, when one little girl in particular wants things to change, because if leaving means Death, well Fate has another thing coming, a new Queen is coming. To Max he doesn't think himself as being anyone who has an important role in the world, Max thinks he's normal but not normal enough to fit in and that he will never rise to be something better than normal. But what Max doesn't know is that the world would need him, even if he was ready or not. There is a terrible evil coming, and it will be our demise if there isn't a hero to save us. 21 year old Nathanael found a so-called 'prophecy' posted on a social media platform. It says that in a few years, the Lord is set to reset the world from its filthiness. In the prophecy, it says that the reset would take place in about years later and in those years the Earth would shake and the world would be enveloped in darkness while the Lord purge the evil on Earth. A little shaken at the thought he shrugs it off and continued on with his daily life thinking it was just one of those people who wants to seek attention. Months passed and the Earth was indeed shaken. Countless news about powerful earthquakes sprung one after another that led to the death of numerous people, reminding him of the post on social media. People on social media are theorizing what is happening, some think the world is changing that it's the work of reconstruction of geography and also because of climate change, some people say it is the Underworld trying to open a path above to wreak havoc on Earth, some even say that the shaking is caused by God's way of resetting the world back again little by little. One day the place where Nathanael lives is hit with a peculiar earthquake that shook the Earth as if it's about to break apart but after the quake there were no damage and no lives were lost, after the event, countless odd things have been happening that is threatening his daily life. Fearing for his life, he cripples in despair with the chaos happening around him. Nathanael is now faced with choices and death is at every corner if he doesn't move or learn how to stand up for himself. Following his path he encounters a few people who are aware of what is really happening to the world and will not let themselves succumb to it and do a reset and instead fight to reform the world.
