When 33-year-old Angelica Right is summoned to the kingdom's illustrious ball at the royal castle, everyone is terrified. After all, the summoning is an unlucky duty that only few are fated with. None of the tributes ever return, as the elusive ball is prime picking ground for the ruling vampires to sample and select their humans. However, the details of the royal event are limited as no one except tributes ever attend.
