14th century, the Venice Festival attracts many visitors, of all ages, social classes or genders. Masks are worn with confidence, giving a new identity to those ready to wear them. In this unlikely mix of outrageous personalities, one woman awkwardly stands out from the crowd.

Her labor-damaged hands grip the jacket of a man she has just met, like a child who would cling to their mother's skirt. She knows she can trust him, so she walks behind him, awkwardly apologizing to the people she pushes on her way as he guides her through the crowd, and surely to the most eventful night of her life.
