Leafy was sick of being alone and bored out of her mind. And she figured Firey was sick of being in that high, high, up cage. She decided she'd take Firey, that way he's not so high up anymore, and she can use him for... Well... Whatever she wants!
And she's not kidnapping Firey... She's just... Freeing... him. Yeah! Freeing him! Setting him free!
At first Firey begs to go back, because he'd much prefer to be in that cage than here, but then he starts to fall in love with Leafy.
